Testing consists of three area or parts:

· First is proper effort and attitude in class along with regular attendance.

· Second is the Question and Answer portion.  This covers terms used in class as well as questions about many aspects of involvement in karate class.

· Third is the physical performance during testing.

Greater detail and rank requirements for advanced rank are in the Uruwashii Kan Karate Dojo Manual available through your instructor or Class Director.  The cost is $20 plus tax.

Testing for rank is based on class performance, skill level and attitude.  The Instructor or Class Director makes the final decision as to when and whether a student is ready to test.  Should you believe you are close to testing and have not been told of your test date, it is acceptable to request whether you are ready to test.  Students testing successfully will receive their new belt and a Certificate of Rank.

Testing fees are expected at time of testing.  Testing for solid color belts includes the belt, a certificate and/or a DVD (when test is recorded).
